Kareem Olamilekan: 11-Year-Old Nigerian Draws French President Emmanuel Macron On The Spot
French President, Emmanuel Macron, was left emotional as an 11-year-old Nigerian identified as Kareem Olamilekan, drew a portrait of him during his visit to the ‘New Afrikan Shrine’ in Lagos.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) the event was held to showcase and celebrate African culture. Banky W and Kenturah King played host.
President Macron, praised and congratulated Kareem on his official presidential Twitter account. The 11-year-old managed to keep his cool despite the pressure of drawing the President of France in two hours.
“Very touched, congratulations to this young boy!”
The visiting president emphasised on the importance of the shrine to the African culture. He said;
“The shrine is an iconic cultural hub. And I say with a lot of humility that I recognize the importance of African culture.”
