Urban News: Nigerian Girl Oyindamola Olagunju, 18, Graduates From UK University With 1st Class In 2 Courses
A Nigerian teen Oyindamola Olagunju, 18, has graduated from the University of Bedfordshire, Luton, United Kingdom, with first class in two courses combined, computer science and robotics at 18.
Oyindamola was offered admission into nine universities including the UK, US and Nigeria at the age of 15. However, her preference was to study in the United States but her mother preferred the UK due to proximity and time difference issues. Again, the teenager’s choice course of study was a subject of discuss as she wanted to study robotics while her mother wanted something else.

However, Oyindamola got the support of her father though her mum refused to back up. The family eventually reached a compromise in which she combined computer with her robotics’ choice.
There was a slight challenge on the way as the family had to find which university would allow her combine robotics with computer. Eventually, University of Bedfordshire was chosen and her broadcaster mother, Seun Olagunju, took to her social media handles, Facebook and Instagram, to celebrate her daughter’s success.
