According to Abainitus Akila Hamman, the village head and his two wives were brutally murdered by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Donga Local Government of Taraba State. He wrote:

“The Herds Men Masacre ‘program’.The Village Head of Ananum, ( and two of his Wives) were brutally attacked and killed in Donga Local Government of Taraba State.”
