Benue Community: Man Was Killed By Fulani Herdsmen Immediately After Police IG Left
According to Facebook user, Ushahemba Gande, who shared the sad news on his page, a man was killed by Fulani herdsmen immediately after the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K Idris, visited the troubled areas in Benue. He wrote:
“Immediately after IGP left Anyiin ,we have received a death body of one of our brother who reported death around Gbeji to Anyiin road. At about 6pm this evening been 13 January 2018. As u can see in the picture below.”
President Buhari had ordered the Police boss, Ibrahim Idris, to put a stop to the attack by herdsmen in the state. The IG is reported to have moved to Benue state with five units of riot policemen making a total of 10 units deployed in the state. This is in addition to other police contingents and special forces on the ground already.
