“Am Gonna Win The Grammy’s One Day, Mark This Date” — Tekno, Fans React
For sometime, Nigerian musicians have promised to win a Grammy Award but they’ve all failed to deliver. Recently, 9ice renewed his promise to win when he said, “I am still working on bringing the Grammy to Nigeria. Abraham Lincoln tried several times before he became the president of the US while Buhari tried about four times before he became president. As long as I am still doing music, I can still get the Grammy.” Tekno has now joined the list of Nigerian singers making this vow. He had said in a tweet, “Be rest assured, am gonna win the Grammys One day.. mark this date”.
However, this didn’t go down too well with his followers who appreciated that it’s good to dream big but they eventually brought the ‘Pana’ hitmaker to a harsh reality. It was very clear they didn’t rate him or his music as good enough.
