Going Emotional: R. Kelly Denies Allegations As He Cries Uncontrollably During Interview — “I’m Fighting For My F*cking Life”
On Tuesday night (March 5), CBS Evening News aired a snippet from R. Kelly’s interview with Gayle King. This follows the singer being charged with s*xually abusing underage girls on Feb. 22. Kelly goes on to give a categorical denial on the allegations leveled against him including holding women in his home against their will. He said:
“Stop it. All you quit playing. Quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f***ing life!” R&B singer R. “How stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and what I have been through, right now…I think I need to be a monster and hold women against their will chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat don’t let them out unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle.”
R. Kelly also denied past allegations of s*xual abuse claiming they are false. He stated:
“Not true.”
“Whether they’re old rumors, new rumors, future rumors, not true.”
In another part of the interview, unable to take it any longer, the “Bump n’ Grind” hitmaker shouted while declaring his innocence:
“Y’all quit playing. Quit playing. I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f*cking life”.
