Singer Chris Brown Agrees To Home Inspection In Sexual Assault Case
A woman who has only been referred to as Jane Doe, accused Chris Brown of giving her drugs including cocaine, marijuana, and molly before his friend, Lowell Grissom Jr., allegedly raped her back in February 2017. She had claimed the “Look at Me Now” hitmaker was walking around showing off firearms, including one that he allegedly carried in his waistband. Doe said this happened after she ended up at Brown’s home after a night of clubbing. However, he has vehemently denied the allegation and has even agreed a home inspection of his mansion following a request by Doe.
According to The Blast, the woman’s mother became worried and so she used a software to track her daughter’s phone. She then alerted the police to Jane’s location but were refused entry upon their arrival. Grissom has denied assaulting the woman stating in documents that whatever happened between him and Jane Doe was consensual.
Jane Doe has been given two hours to complete her inspection of Brown’s home. During the time, her attorney will look through the rooms she was in on the night in question. If she also remembers being in other rooms, then they will also be inspected.
A videographer and two attorneys will be present during the inspection of Brown’s home. There will be an initial walkthrough with Brown’s attorney beforehand which will not be taped. Doe will wait outside with one of her attorneys while the other completes the inspection.
Doe who is suing for unspecified damages, had initially objected to Brown filming the inspection claiming it was an intimidation tactic. However, the singer refuted those accusations saying he only wanted to ensure his home was protected.
