Memphis 5-Year-Old Watches As Her Mother Pulls A Gun On Former Employee Over Paycheck
A Memphis mother identified as Kelley Watts, confronted her former manager at Conduit Global with a gun while trying to pick up her final paycheck, according to Shelby County Sheriff’s Lt. Anthony Buckner. It’s understood the woman was with her 5-year-old daughter when she attempted to shoot her former employee’s car tires. However, the gun malfunctioned.
Watts reportedly put the gun back in her purse and followed her former boss into the building. Moments later, the deputies arrived. Bucker said:
“We did locate a gun inside of her vehicle left alone with her five-year-old child.”
“This was the perfect recipe for something to go wrong.”
Meanwhile, the child is doing ok and is with an aunt.
Watts was charged with child abuse and neglect and unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon. Both are misdemeanor charges. She bonded out of jail.
