The Canadian rapper celebrated Father’s Day with his son Adonis on Sunday and it moved a lot of hearts. Drake had been gushing about his son’s many talents, especially art then surprised his followers by sharing an adorable painting his one-year-old created for him that spelled out his nickname, ‘Papa’. The 32-year-old posted this on his Instagram page with the caption, ‘Happy Fathers Day (sic)’ with a blue love heart.
Fellow dads Wiz The Kid and Chance The Rapper were among those who praised the cute father-son moment.
Last Christmas, the “In My Feelings” rapper joked that Adonis was better than Picasso when he showed off a painted handprint gift that he got framed for his wall. Drake is really private about his relationship with Adonis who will turn two years old this October. However, he’s a different person when it comes to special occasions. This time last year, no-one knew Drake was a dad until he confirmed that he had fathered a child on his album Scorpio in 2018. However, the lyrics confirmed that he had only met his son’s mother Sophie Brussaux twice before she found out she was having the rapper’s child. He raps, ‘She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine. S***, we only met two times.’
The rapper is financially supporting mum Sophie and making extra effort to see his child during his European tour.
