Entertainment News Today Headlines: Man Tries To Steal Halle Berry’s House
Harry Berry came so close being schemed out of one of her house. A certain Ronald Eugene Griffin. In January, the man was first seen at one of Berry’s Los Angeles properties messing with the locks. However, he was approached by the actress’s gardner. In March, he returned but the workers quickly made a trespassing call to police. When the police arrived, they met Griffin with a locksmith trying to get in. He claimed he was the new owner of the home and had the deed to prove it. In closer inspection, it was discovered that the man had already managed to change one of the locks and had even called the police when he was confronted by the employees at the house.
Griffin, 59, insisted he was the owner of the house, but LAPD detectives found out Griffin had fraudulently changed the title of the residence. Berry told the detectives she didn’t know who the intruder was and had not given him any permission to be in the house.
Griffin was later arrested and hit with a felony count of procuring and offering a false warranty deed and an additional count of petty theft. His bond’s set at $36k, according to TMZ.
Another strange thing is that Griffin didn’t know Halle Berry was the owner of the house.
