Urban News: Emotional Moment Connecticut 8-Year-Old Congratulates His Sister After Her Pre-K Graduation
Graduations are really special and emotional especially when it’s a family member. One Connecticut mum captured the moment her 8-year-old son Derek congratulated her 5-year-old daughter Charlee after her Pre-K graduation. The photo is currently making the rounds across social media.
Aundrea and Matthew Smith shared the picture on Instagram describing how their son salked up to their daughter to give her a hug and offer her some words of encouragement.
“I’m just so proud of you,” he said.
It was then Charlee started crying and not long after , their mum and dad jouned in on the emotional moment.
When their dad asked her why she was crying, she said, “I’m just so happy.” We are so blessed.”
“They definitely have their moments when they get on each other’s nerves,” she said. “But he (Derek) works really hard to be a good big brother … always looking out for her.”

Meanwhile, Aundrea Smith says she’s so happy after seeing how much attention the post has received.
