USA Today World News: Cardi B And Trump Supporter Clash After Rapper Says She Might Run For Congress: ‘I’m Boutta Violate’
Cardi B and Conservative political commentator, Mindy Robinson, clashed on social media on Tuesday after the blogger took a dig at the “Bodak Yellow” rapper after she said she might run for congress.
Cardi whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, made headlines on Sunday after she announced on Twitter that was thinking about entering the political arena.
“I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment,” she tweeted to her 8.8 million followers.
She then revisited the matter on Twitter on Monday, writing, “I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.”
I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense.I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table .

Cardi’s comments were hailed by many of her supporters although there were those who weren’t impressed by her credentials including many right-wing accounts.
It was then Robinson tweeted a screenshot of the rapper’s tweet with suggested edits and corrections, writing, “You’re going to need more school than that.”

In another tweet, the political commentator who has more than 180,000 Twitter followers, wrote, “I went to college for both American History and Political Science, although to be fair…even my cat is more qualified to run for Congress than Cardi B.”

The attack by the self-proclaimed “unapologetically patriotic” citizen was met with immediate criticism from Cardi B on early Tuesday morning.
“I didn’t insulted your party or your believes so please don’t try me and let’s keep sweet OK….don’t want to dog walk you,” responded Cardi B, who famously told conservative commentator Tomi Lahren she would “dog walk” her in a Twitter feud last year.
Sis your lips ashy and you barely have none …Leave me alone .I didn’t insulted your party or your believes so please don’t try me and let’s keep sweet OK….don’t want to dog walk you ❤️ https://t.co/48NEfjdCUg pic.twitter.com/GDo53bIN6v

The rapper also took aim at Robinson’s support for Trump in another post returning to Twitter later Tuesday after some users seemed confused about her slang use of the word “violate”. It was unclear whether she intended physical harm against Robinson.
“What? NO! Listen …Violate is a popular NY slang for when you about to put someone in their place,” she responded, adding that no one is “trying to touch that girl.”

On her part, Robinson returned to Twitter later on Tuesday claiming to have received a “bunch of hate mail” following Cardi B’s response.
“Cardi B and her fans are mad I said my cat was more qualified to run for Congress than she is, which I stand by,” she tweeted. “By the way, slamming me because I support Trump isn’t a slam, try again.”
