Actress Nuella Njubigbo Chikere Begs People To Stay Home If They Really Don’t Need To Go Out
The “controlled easing phase” of the lockdown restrictions begins today May 4 in some major states including Lagos. This will allow offices, markets and stores to resume operation with limited hours and staff capacity. However, a lot of people cannot wait to hit the streets to enjoy their ‘freedom’. There are those who don’t particularly have anything important to do in town that will show up. Again, people have already started making arrangements of places they will visit just for the sake of taking photos for the Gram. With this in mind, Nuella Njubigbo Chikere has taken to social media to warn that safety measures must be taken while going out. The Nigerian actress also pleaded that those who don’t really need to go out should stay home. She wrote:
“Tomorrow is may 4th, the ease of lock down begins, My lovelies If you NEED to be out there for one good reason or another please, biko, edakun, Don Allah maintain good hygiene, Mask up and practice Social Distancing, Don’t get carried away. If you don’t reaĺly NEED to go out please stay home. We pray for divine protection of the almighty God upon us and our loved ones in all we do in Jesus mighty name. Amen”
Mind you, the post was written yesterday.
Meanwhile, as at 12 am, 3rd May, there are 2558 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria. However, 400 have been discharged. Sadly, 87 deaths have been recorded, according to the NCDC.
