The Nigerian military has pledged its support for President Muhammadu Buhari and is ready to quell continuing demonstrations against police brutality.
The protests have been ongoing since October 5 with angry youths determined to put a permanent end to police brutality in Nigeria. While reacting to rumours of the military stepping in, to put a stop to “all subversive elements and trouble makers,” Omoni Oboli stated clearly that the peaceful protests was to fix the country. She wrote in an Instagram post:
“What is this I keep hearing?Government is planning to release the military on us? Peaceful protesters?!!! Dem nor born dem! People that have Bubu’s ears should tell him o! Don’t even conceive it! If he doesn’t know what to do, he should jejely resign so posterity will be kind to him!
“What we are asking for will even benefit your children and grandchildren sir! A better Nigeria is possible and we are fixing our country!!!
WE COME IN PEACE!!!”
