There was the lockdown months ago which left people staying at home to curb the spread. This also brought a lot of hunger as people could not work to support themselves and their families.
Also, fed up youths took to the streets to protest against police brutality, oppression and bad governance in Nigeria. Although it was peaceful and well organized, there were allegations that men in uniform opened fire on unarmed #EndSARS protesters who were with the Flag of Nigeria. Celebrities and their fans came together with a strong voice until the end.
However, miscreants hijacked the protests and started looting shops leaving people even poorer.
While reflecting on the year, Chizzy Alichi remained optimistic in her Instagram post. The Nollywood actress made it clear that 2021 will be better.
She also shared some beautiful photos which she captioned;
“Still in holiday mood
#chilling
#2021willbebetter”.
