A lot of people will tell you that anyone who can live in Nigeria can survive in any part of the world and excel.
In terms of hustling, this is true if you work hard. It sometimes appears as though every aspect of living in Nigeria is by divine intervention if you make it through to the next day.
Many people are barely managing to feed as prices of food commodities keep rising. Even the sellers can only manage to stare at their ‘market’ as they can’t even afford to eat.
Electricity is a forgotten ‘luxury’ in many homes as they can’t deal with paying bills. Healthcare is poor but there was some decency shown in handling COVID-19. It was generally organised in terms of vaccination aside the great hardship during the time of lockdown.
Aside these, lives and property are not safe as bandits, Boko Haram, Herdsmen, armed robbers and ritua lists all compete to make life a nightmare for innocent Nigerians who just want to work hard and get paid.
With all these in mind, Ray Emodi took to his Instagram page recently to state that Nigeria will end up making people strong but that’s if it “doesn’t break you.”
The popular Nollywood actor also disclosed that he lost quite an amount of money recently. He wrote;
“Naija will make you strong if it doesn’t break you. We smile/laugh in the face of wahala/problems. I lost bout 100 racks today and missed my flight on top of that. How you lose money on your way to make money?
PS: I can relate to Mark Zuckerberg who also lost a bit of money recently. He lost just seven billion dollars compared to my HUNDRED THOUSAND NAIRA…this…I…in short this life no balance
Ain’t no cap in my captions.”
