Anca Pop has died aged 34! The Canadian-Romanian singer-songwriter’s car reportedly plunged into the Danube River. Her sister alerted police after she failed to show up on Sunday evening at the family residence in southwestern Romania.

Her body was eventually identified after divers found her car late Monday in southwestern Romania. At this time, it’s unclear how the singer’s car plunged into the river. However, it’s understood the police are investigating the death Anca Pop.
Pop fled communist Romania with her family in 1987 crossing the Danube into then Yugoslavia. They became political refugees there until months later, they emigrated to Canada.
Pop’s style was a fusion of Balkan and mainstream pop.
