Celebrity News And Gossip: Chaka Khan Confirms Stevie Wonder No Longer Blind
There has been the rumour going around for years that legendary artist Stevie Wonder is no longer blind. Earlier this week, Chaka Khan appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. A fan asked her, “what’s the most surprising thing about him that the public doesn’t know?” According to the “Ain’t Nobody” singer, “he [Stevie] can really see.”. Even though she said it in a manner that can pass as a joke, many are taking her word seriously because she knows him well.

He was born prematurely, having to be placed into an incubator with an oxygen-rich atmosphere. It resulted in a condition called retinopathy of prematurity, leading to his blindness.
According to the rumour mill, Stevie underwent surgery many years ago, that restored much of his eyesight. But his vision is still poor, so he’s still “legally” blind – according to the rumour.
Stevie appeared to confirm the rumour two years ago during an interview with a TMZ cameraman. In the clip, Stevie says that he has, in fact, had the opportunity to fly planes himself, on two different occasions! “I actually landed the plane…”
When quizzed if Stevie wanted to surprise the world by announcing he can see, he replied, “In this year, I would reveal the truth.”
