It’s sad news as comedian and Eddie Murphy’s brother dies from leukemia at 57. The stand up comedian co-wrote some of his also famous brother Eddie Murphy’s movies. Charlie Murphy also appeared in Black Jesus, Are We There Yet and The Boondocks.

It’s understood that Charlie passed away in a New York City hospital. He had earlier gone on tour with the likes of Eddie Griffin, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and George Lopez.
Charlie Murphy is survived by three children. His wife Tisha Taylor Murphy, passed away in 2009 from cancer.
