Suicide: Cleveland Facebook Killer Steve Stephens Has Fatally Shot Himself Dead
Steve Stephens has fatally shot himself dead on Tuesday in Pennsylvania, State Police said. It’s understood that the Cleveland Facebook killer was committed suicide after a brief pursuit.
The family of the victim pleaded with Stephens to turn himself in. “To the young man who murdered my daddy,” Godwin-Baines told the TV station, “I ask that you please surrender. I forgive you and love you, but most importantly, God loves you. God can heal your mind and save your soul.”
“Steve Stephens was spotted this morning by PSP members in Erie County,” Pennsylvania State Police tweeted. “After a brief pursuit, Stephens shot and killed himself.”

According to Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams, police in Pennsylvania received a tip just after 11 a.m. ET that Stephens’ vehicle was seen in a McDonald’s parking lot near the city of Erie. He is reported to have fled in his vehicle but was stopped after a short pursuit.
“Steve Stephens then took his own life,” Williams said.

“Thank you to the brave @PAStatePolice troopers for their vigilance in pursuing the Facebook killer,” Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf tweeted. “Thankful no one in PA was hurt.”
