Latest Hip Hop News And Gossip: Drake Custom-Made $769K Luxury OVO Coat From Toronto Raptors
No doubt, Drake is one of the biggest fans of Toronto Raptors. Despite being made fun of for “cursing” teams, his love for the Canadian professional basketball team is mutual. In fact, they showed the “In My Feelings” rapper some love with a custom-made $769K luxury Raptors/OVO sports jacket.
The Toronto Raptors shared the moment they gave the jacket to Drake on Twitter with the caption, “You don’t worry ‘bout fittin’ in when you custom made. #WeTheNorth”. The coat features the OVO owl logo encrusted with diamonds alongside the Raptors’ emblem.
The fabric for the jersey comes from a French mill by Toronto’s Garrison Bespoke, according to Complex. It reportedly was one of the first examples of “jersey” cloth from 1927. The diamonds embedded on the jacket are lab-grown and carbon-neutral. The clothier behind the jacket, Michael Nguyen, told The Star:
“This is truly a 1 of 1 piece”.
“Both the jersey inside, which Drake himself helped design, and this very special piece of cloth. And the diamonds, of course.”
