Christopher Pany: Ghanaian Driver Has Been Arrested In Lagos For Stealing His Madam’s Clothes For His Wife
Taking things without permission has landed someone in trouble. A Ghanaian driver has been arrested in Lagos for stealing his madam’s clothes for his wife. It’s understood that the 42-year old private driver who has been identified as Christopher Pany, has already been arrested and charged before a Lagos court after he stole his madam’s five used ladies gowns and three suits for his wife and children. The incident is reported to have happened at the residence, 8, Stella Sholanke Street in Ajao Estate, Lagos.
It was the complainant’s husband Chief Anuka Ogbo who employed Christopher Pany as the family’s driver before he died last year. The complainant saw Pany’s wife and his children wearing her dresses and those of her children upon return to Lagos after the burial in their hometown in Abia State. The furious lady then went to Pany’s apartment only to discover that the driver had relieved her of even more clothing and that of her children.
The suspect has been granted bail by the presiding Magistrate court, Mrs A.K. Shonubi in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. Christopher Pany has also been remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition. While being taken to prison, the driver wondered why his madam would treat him in such a manner after he had served them for several years.
The matter was adjourned till 17 March for trial.
