Celebrity News And Gossip: Halle Berry Celebrates LGBTQ Pride In White Tank Top
Halle Berry showed her support for the LGBTQ community in a tempting white tank top which was shared on her Instagram page. The “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” actress posed against a white wall with her hands over her head while a streak of rainbow light crossed the frame, in celebration of Pride Month. She captioned, “Standing tall for everyone to have the right to live and love out loud! 🌈 Happy #Pride, everyone! #Pride2019”.
Her support comes as this month marks the start of Pride as well as a historic 50 years since the Stonewall riots that sparked the LGBTQ rights movement.
If you recall, last month Berry made out with actress and friend Lena Waithe on Late Night TV. Waithe was playing the temporary role as host on Jimmy Kimmel Live! She had several of her Hollywood friends as guests. However, it was when the Catwoman actress came onstage that had everyone cheering. Waithe asked forr some encouragement in her newfound hosting gig: ‘I need some inspiration, ok?’
‘Like that Oscars speech you gave [in 2002], it got me hyped, ok? I need you to give me some of that Halle Berry juice.’
It was then Berry showed up with words of inspiration for Waithe, ‘I know that you are a force of nature.’
‘You are a beautiful African-American queen going after everything that is hers. And, Lena, tonight you are a writer, an actor, a producer, and tonight you are a late-night comedian and you’re about to slay.”
Meanwhile, Halle Berry and Lena Waithe are currently co-executive producing season two of the BET series reboot of Boomerang. The 1992 romantic comedy starred Berry, Eddie Murphy and Robin Givens.
The show will center on Simone (Tetona Jackson), the daughter of Berry and Murphy’s characters.
