Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and #EndSARS protests which were the main talking points which affected Nigerians in 2020, Yvonne Jegede states clearly in her Instagram post that she has no bad word to say about the year.
The coronavirus led to a lockdown in a bid to control the spread of the deadly disease. Many people died, jobs were lost and even small businesses folded up.
Again, 2020 saw youths take to the streets to protest against police brutality, oppression and bad governance in Nigeria. The #EndSARS protests was peaceful but it was reported that innocent lives were lost after men in uniform allegedly opened fire on unarmed protesters holding the flag of Nigeria which social media users saw drenched in blood.
Yvonne Jegede also also shared makeup-free photos.
The Nollywood actress captioned;
“A grateful heart… TBH I have no bad word to say about 2020.
Someone said “If 2020 did not bring out the hustle in you, then it’s not in you”.. Do you agree??”
She continued;
