Ola Michael: Is Wizkid The Reason Why Shatta Wale Was Removed From Performing At Ghana Meets Naija 2018?
Ghana Meets Naija 2018 will be held on 9th June 2018 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). Big names like Wizkid, Mayorkun and Mr. Eazi will perform representing Nigeria while the likes of Patapaa, Stonebwoy, Kidi, Kuami Eugene, Fancy Gadam and King Promise are expected to set the stage on fire for Ghana. However, there are certain big names conspicuously absent from the list like Sarkodie. Movie producer and entertainment critic Ola Micheal, thinks Nigerian superstar Wizkid is the reason why Shatta Wale was removed from the list of those performing at Ghana Meets Naija 2018. He took to his Facebook page and wrote:
“Konkonsa oooo Konkonsa!?
I hear say Wizkid is the reason why Shatta Wale is not likely to perform at the Ghana meet Naija?
He said if Shatta Wale is on the bill, he will not want to be part?
Ei ei ei ei boi”
Trouble started between Wizkid and Shatta Wale in 2017. The Ghanaian dancehall star disclosed in an interview on Kasapa FM that he doesn’t see Wizkid as a star. He said:
“I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste.”
This led to a massive social media fallout between Shatta Wale and followers of Wizkid. In fact, Wale dragged Timaya into the whole drama. It appears Wizkid has not forgiven the Ghanaian superstar especially with his ‘Thug Life’ approach to life.
