Entertainment News Today Headlines: John Singleton’s Mother Claims His Baby Mama Refused To Help Him Even After He ‘Threw Up Blood’
John Singleton died in April as the result of a stroke. However, the Boyz N The Hood director’s mother, Shelia Ward-Johnson, claims in a Facebook post that one of his baby mamas, Rayvon Jones, met him with ‘No open arms just crossed defiant fists,’ even as Singleton ‘threw up blood’.
Shelia, who has been involved in a legal battle with the director’s daughter for control of his estate, wrote in a lengthy Facebook post that John had been vomiting blood that night and suffered from tremors.
‘My mind is wrapped around the beginning of your bodies fall. You where vomiting up blood you had trimmers that night. Dont know what came first vomit or the argument [sic],’ she wrote.
‘No open arms just crossed defiant fists greeting you… I could not protect you. Only the baby in that bath with you gave you comfort. Fear must have struck when your body began to trimmer again and you couldnt lift yourself from the sunken tub… Will the baby remember those moments?’ she mused.
According to Sheila, no one had contacted her nor called 911. Instead, she says ‘they shifted you to your bed and let you lay until the morning.’ She goes on to say she doesn’t blame Rayvon and others.
‘I feel so sorry for them because they must live with what it. I don’t blame them yet I am repelled from their energy I know not to let them touch me. or surround me [sic],’ she concluded.
According to TMZ, Rayvon confirmed that Singleton did complain of feeling sick that night, but he attributed it to food poisoning. However, she claimed she never saw him throw up and didn’t think he was seriously ill. Thinking it was just an upset stomach, she suggested he try to relax with a bath and drink some tea. The mother of John’s son Seven (he had seven children) was shocked to read Shelia’s post and assumed they were on good terms. She made it clear she wouldn’t have prevented him from getting medical treatment if she thought his life was at stake. Shelia’s statement includes unusual details about Singleton’s condition prior to falling into a coma. She wasn’t with him that night, so it’s unclear who might have witness him vomiting blood, aside from his baby son and the boy’s mother, who claims not to have seen it.
Eventually, Singleton checked himself into the hospital on April 17 after reporting weakness in his legs following a plane flight from Costa Rica back to the US. He slipped into a coma while in the hospital and died hours after being taken off life support on April 29.
According to The Blast, Shelia asked a court to grant her control of his son’s estate, valued at $35 million, over the objections of his daughter Cleopatra Singleton.
