Lady Gaga Super Bowl 51 Halftime Performance
Lady Gaga, 30, has been compared to Kermit and SpongeBob due to her theatrics and absolutely epic Super Bowl 51 Halftime performance. The singer became a victim of the internet despite her incredible feat as online memes about how she looked like a flying squirrel or a SpongeBob Squarepants character while she was lowered into place.

Truthfully, if it was Beyonce that put uo the performance Lady Gaga put up during her Super Bowl 51 Halftime performance, would the response by the internet be different? Anyway, Lady Gaga has opened up after her performance.
‘My Fans Mean Everything to Me’ – Lady Gaga Opens Up After Her Epic Super Bowl LI Performance
Whether the internet trolls like it or not, Lady Gaga performed like a boss during the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday. She has opened up about the role her fans played and how proud she is of them. Gaga told ET’s Kevin Frazier as she walked backstage at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, after exiting the field:
“My fans mean everything to me”.
“When I first started, everyone thought we were so different and so weird. We never changed who we were, and we stuck to our guns in terms of what we believe in, and now we got to perform on the biggest stage in the world with our beliefs and our diversity, and it made me really proud.”
Regarding the powerful pep talk Lady Gaga gave her backup dancers, she said she called on the support of a higher power to motivate them.
“I told them that their talent did not belong to them, that God is the owner of their talent,” she recounted, “and that today was about sharing his wisdom with the world.”
On the opening of her performance, which saw her suspended in their air by wires as she descended from the stadium ceiling, Lady Gaga said:
“I made a decision about a month ago that I was gonna do it and I just stayed solid and went for it”.
