Offset Reveals Last Time He Saw His Daddy Was In His Baby Photo
Offset went emotional on his Instagram page while disclosing the last he saw his daddy. The Atlanta rapper who was born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, shared a major throwback to when he was a baby revealing in the caption:
“LAST TIME I SEEN MY DADDY
GOD IS AMAZING”
On Friday, the Migos rapper shared a clip of himself embracing his dad for the first time in over 20 years. Wrote:
“DREAMS DO COME TRUE
HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! AND I STILL LOVE HIM
THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!!
NO MATTER WHAT!!!!”
Offset talked about the distanced relationship he had with his dad earlier on this year.
“It’s a cold day in late January—Martin Luther King Jr. Day—and Offset is telling me about his parents. They met in the ’80s at a talent show, where his father was dancing (a gift that Offset inherited). When Offset was a toddler, his dad “got into the streets,” he explains, and has been there ever since. This still affects the rapper, despite what you might call his Teflon demeanor. ” (ESQUIRE)
