Lil Wayne through his One Family Foundation nonprofit organization, has teamed up with Apple Music to donate $200,000 to the World Central Kitchen. The fund is supposed to aid the rapper’s hometown of New Orleans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The “How to Love” hitmaker announced this during the first episode of Weezy’s Young Money Radio on Apple Music. On April 24, during the live broadcast the rapper whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., spoke to New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell about his contribution to the city.
The likes of Babyface, Lil Baby, Jessie Reyez, Travis Scott and Deion Sanders joined Wayne on the inaugural Young Money Radio show. He even previewed two unreleased tracks featuring Jessie Reyez and Tory Lanez from the deluxe version of Funeral.
