Choi!!! French Montana Claims Akon Gifted Him A Fake Watch For His Birthday
Some see this as being disrespectful but was it intentional? Well, French Montana claims Akon gifted him a fake watch for his birthday. The rapper had visited Hot 97 and it was while talking to Funkmaster Flex, that the fake watch came up.
French Montana had initially been asked about signing with Akon. He replied saying it was a “six-month thing.” It was then Funkmaster Flex said:
“We can’t tell the watch story, don’t tell it now.”
That said, French had to respond with a lot of laughter.
“Shouts to Akon, he gave me a fake watch for my birthday, I’m heated.”
The messed up part was when Akon told French Montana to close his eyes then presented him with the fake watch. Choi! Who does that? Then again, Akon probably didn’t know it was fake. Afterall, according to French, when he told Akon about the situation, he said:
“Oh my God, he might have sold it to me fake!”
Even though it’s been 10 years since the incident, French Montana still wants his authentic watch.
