A man identified as Kavon Cooper, 21, accidentally shot himself in the head while he was waving a revolver around in the car. The tragic incident is reported to have taken place on Sunday. It’s understood that Cooper was riding in a vehicle traveling south on I-85 with two other adult males.
One of the individuals in the vehicle disclosed that Cooper had a revolver in his possession and was waving it around when a shot rang out.
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle immediately took the Boydton Plank Road exit, pulled into a restaurant parking lot and asked for help. Cooper is said to have died on the spot but the two other occupants in the vehicle were unharmed. The revolver has been recovered by the police.
