Latest Hip Hop News: Meek Mill Donates Backpacks And Supplies To Students At His Former Elementary School
Meek Mill returned unannounced to James G. Blaine Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and handed out to the students of his former school, backpacks and supplies having teamed up with Puma. This was before he took the stage at the BB&T Pavilion Friday night.
It’s understood Meek Mill and Puma donated over 500 new backpacks filled with school supplies to last a year.
“I wanted to stop here today, my elementary school that I grew up at… I just wanted to back and show my love and appreciation to my neighborhood,” Meek told the cheering students.
“I want to give a shoutout to Puma for collaborating with me on school supplies and book bags… I came here to give the kids a message: Continue to chase your dreams.”
This isn’t the first time kids at his alma mater have benefited from the rapper’s generosity. If you recall, Meek passed out 6,000 backpacks at James G. Blaine elementary during a visit in 2018, according to TMZ.
