Current News Headlines: New Jersey Man Accused Of Killing Ex’s Little Brother And Her 68-Year-Old Grandmother Livestreamed Police Chase On Facebook
Some people would do just about anything for attention. One New Jersey man identified as Terrance J. Matthews, 23, allegedly murdered his ex’s little brother and her 68-year-old grandmother late Wednesday night in a home on Eastbrook Lane in Willingboro. It’s understood the suspect livestreamed the police chase on Facebook.
According to the authorities, Matthews and his girlfriend, Krissida Williams, 22, had an argument over the phone earlier in the day Wednesday. However, upon her return back home that night, Williams discovered that her brother, Ishon Mathiln Jr., and elderly grandmother, Jennifer Vassell, had been stabbed repeatedly.
Investigators also say they believe Ishon was also drowned in a bathtub. Officials also say that Matthews allegedly held Williams overnight against her will after she made the gruesome discovery.
The double murder started to unfold on Thursday morning when the pair arrived a Westampton Township Wawa store and Williams told an employee that Matthews had killed her family. It was at that point Mathew fled from the store in a Nissan Scion but was eventually captured by the police hours later. Shockingly, the suspect streamed the police chase in a live video on his Facebook page.
“Cops on me,” he says at the start of the minute-and-a-half-long clip.
While expressing his love to the people watching, Matthews says, “I got the f–king cops on me, bro” while rocking only blue shorts.
“I’mma be letting these n—-s f–king have it,” he adds.
Eventually, he crashes his car into a pole and was taken to a local hospital before being moved to Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly.
Mathews was charged with murder, kidnapping, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon. He is due to appear in court on Friday afternoon.
