Naija News: Omawumi Explains Why She Now Exposes Her Body
Fashion and entertainment go hand in hand in Nigeria. A celebrity’s dress code is constantly under scrutiny which makes them quite conscious of the fashion statements they make. Omawumi recently gave reasons why she now exposes her body in revealing outfits. The “Malowa” singer also shared a series of racy photos on her Instagram page.
She also explained that her dresses used to be very short when she first started in the industry but she became conservative after becoming a wife and a mother. Omawumi also added that her current look is in line with her sound at the moment. The singer wrote:
“I remember when I started out in the industry… My dresses were so short, my mum would say I use handkerchiefs to sew my dresses! Over time, especially when I became a mom and a wife, I became conservative and ‘covered’ with my sense of style and music.
Now you might ask…’what is she doing?’ My answer is my current look is intentional in connection to my current sound. ‘will it be permanent?’ – I don’t think so…who knows?
I’m just exploring my many sides and loving myself in the process….I’m just Omawonder.”
