Adesua Etomi has disclosed that peer pressure made her eat the local Yoruba soup, Gbegiri. The Nigerian actress then branded it as trash and that she prefers amala with ewedu and fried peppery stew.
Meanwhile, if you are wondering what Gbegiri soup is, know that it’s beans soup made with black eyed or brown beans. The delicacy is best eaten with Tuwo Shinkafa or Amala and Ewedu soup.
Anyway, Banky W’s wife wrote;
“I’ve decided that gbegiri is trash. Peer pressure made me eat it with my amala but I have grown as an individual and now I know without a shadow of doubt that I prefer my amala with ewedu and fried peppery stew.
Signed,
Ex gbegiri sufferer”
Of course, there were reactions!
As deep as I would have love to support this claim, It would have been better, if your argument was based on “Gbegiri is trash without ewedu” how can gbegiri be a trash with the help of ewedu? Maybe you haven’t try it in a nice local canteen in Ibadan. Not all those microwave one
