Angela Eguavoen recently had an interview with Saturday Beats (PunchNG) in which she disclosed that Nollywood has equal opportunities for everybody, including women.
The actress also made it clear that people are also taking advantage of social media to create opportunities and showcase their talents. This also helps them to get discovered by filmmakers.
In fact, Angela appeared to suggest that the women may even have an advantage because a producer can make a movie using an all-female cast but would not be able to do so for the men.
She said;
“Nollywood has opportunities for everybody, women inclusive. With the advent of social media, there are so many opportunities for everybody.
“I don’t think women are sidelined. I actually think women have a lot of opportunities, because there is no film that does not feature women.
“I feel a producer can comfortably make a film with an all-female cast, but they cannot do the same for men. If an entertainer is accepted by a community of women, their job is mostly done.”
