Nigerian Celebrity News And Gossip Today: Sonia Ogiri Donates Bags Of Rice And Cows To Support Widows
Most times, people forget Christmas isn’t all about wearing new clothes, feasting and partying. The annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, should be used to reach out to the less privileged. One Nollywood star who has her mind right when it comes to giving back to the society is US-based Nigerian actress, Sonia Ogiri. She has donated bags of rice and cows to support widows.
In an Instagram post, Sonia shared photos of the goodies and wrote along;
“While we are all excited to wear new clothes, go outings, put Christmas trees in our houses and enjoy the feelings that comes with the season, there are many out there who will be unable to join in the celebration.
I am moved to reach out to widows who have only themselves to struggle for their kids, I feel their struggle and I want to put a smile on their faces as much as I can.
However small it is I want them to feel the expression of hope that restores our faith in humanity.
Dear widows , for being strong for yourselves and children I will be giving out bags of rice and cows to support you this Christmas, you all deserve a MERRY CHRISTMAS for being strong women. To GOD be all the glory for a wonderful 2019”.
