Smashed: Kidnappers Have Been Killed While Negotiating For Ransom In Abia State
Notorious kidnappers have been killed while negotiating for ransom in Abia state. It’s understood the incident happened on Wednesday at Ovungwu, Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of the state.
On July 18, 2017, in Osisioma Ngwa, the syndicate abducted a man identified as Onyemaechi Mbamaonyeukwu Ijeoma, the Managing Director of Mba Hotels Aba in his ash colour Nissan Infinity SUV with Reg. No. GWA 807 DH and held him hostage in an uncompleted building while they negotiated a ransom. However, the police got a tip off on the location of the kidnappers and led by their DPO, swooped on the hoodlums where the gang opened fire on sighting them. Two of the kidnappers identified as Nwadibia and Monday, were gunned down while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The victim is reported to have been rescued unhurt although one of the detectives sustained injuries.
Items recovered include the victim’s SUV, two motorcycles, and four GSM phones.
