Olubankole Wellington, known by the stage name Banky W, is just about fed up of Nigerian politicians. The singer took to Twitter to share his frustration and disappointment as they continue to play musical chairs with our country’s destiny. While reacting to the DSS national assembly invasion, he tweeted:
Politicians are playing musical chairs with our country’s destiny. Instead of us coming together & cancelling ALL of them, some of us are picking sides, fighting on their behalf & FALSELY accusing ourselves. News flash: They’re ALL out 4 SelfInterest. We need an entirely new path.
The Department of State Services, DSS, Director-General, Lawal Daura, has been sacked and according to Vanguard, this is to “reset the shape and structure of Muhammadu Buhari’s Presidency.”
Daura was sacked on the orders of Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo. He described Daura’s action in cordoning off the National Assembly with DSS operatives as unauthorised, unconstitutional and unacceptable to the rule of law.
