Nana Akua Addo Blasted Yvonne Nelson But There Was A Subtle Clap Back
Things appear to be getting ugly between two Ghanaian actresses. Infact, Nana Akua Addo blasted Yvonne Nelson after she said:
“Listen, let’s put in same energy to bring back the dead industry rather than slay on carpets cuz truthfully y’all know there’s no work!”.
Yvonne Nelson was trying to drive home several points coming down to the need for an improvement in the fallen standard of the Ghanaian movie industry. She also pointed fingers at the so called “slay kings and queens” who only take delight in wearing expensive dress to grace red carpet during awards events. However, this didn’t go down too well with Nana Akua Addo. Unable to stomach her anger, she blasted Yvonne. She wrote:
“RED CARPET is an industry called Fashion(SLAY) YES!!Either reinvent and help the industry grow or become a Commentator Technology is making video and content the future. The industry is for the TALENT. TALENT will keep you relevant in the industry long LEGS may get weak with time. CHANGE is here if you can’t embrace it,join them “if you can’t beat them !!!!! IF slaying is not Working for you , have you tried running with those long legs? It’s called reinvent either ways Ghana is winning My break time is up back to class…. #WomenInFilm
#nanaatnewyorkfilmacademy”
Nana Akua Addo might have felt shots were fired her way as she known more of a red carpet person than an actual actress. She’s even reported to have rocked an outfit which costs GHC37,086 to the 2017 BET Awards.
Not one to allow herself to be bullied or intimidated, Yvonne Nelson appears to fire back at Nana Akua Addo. In a series of tweet:
