Tonto Dikeh has taken to her Instagram page to advise people against going out of their way to respect others at the cost of disrespecting themselves.
A lot of people go out of their way to please others even to their own disadvantage. Sometimes, this is done as a sign of respect for elderly people or more successful colleagues or family members.
However, it often leads to disrespect as the person will be taken advantage of in a manner that belittles him/her.
Here’s what Tonto Dikeh wrote regarding this few minutes ago;
“Respecting others, should not be at the cost of disrespecting yourself.”
