Ruth Ama Gyan-Darkwa: 13-Year-Old Gains Admission Into Ghanaian University, Becomes Youngest Ever To Gain Admission
A certain 13-year-old identified as Ruth Ama Gyan-Darkwa, has become the youngest ever student to gain admission into a Ghanaian university. She was admitted for a BSc Maths Prog at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. The girl who is a native of Anyimon Berekum in the Brong-Ahafo Region, attended the Christ Our Hope International School in Kumasi and later, to Abraham Lincoln Junior High School (JHS). She also wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in JHS 1 at the Justice International School, Asuofua, in the Ashanti Region.
According to her father, Mr. Kwadwo Gyan-Darkwa, Ruth entered St. Louis Senior High aged 10 and offered General Science, and proceeded to complete her Senior High (SHS) education at age 12 plus.
Miss Ruth was born on May 29, 2004 in Kumasi.
