Current News Headlines: Shelby County Corrections Deputy Shot By Teen Daughter
A newly graduated Shelby County Corrections deputy has been shot by her 15-year-old daughter and she has been charged with attempted murder, according to Memphis Police. It’s understood the shooting happened on Friday in the 2800 block of Treasure Island at the Eden at Watersedge Apartments in Fox Meadows.
According to the Memphis Police, one woman was shot and transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
It has already been confirmed that the woman who shot was a corrections deputy who graduated Thursday night from the academy. Last Friday, the authorities revealed that the woman’s daughter had been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault/domestic violence.
Neither the Shelby County Corrections deputy nor her daughter have been identified.
