Congrats! Tiwa Savage Wins Best African Act At 2018 MTV EMA
Tiwa Savage was announced as the winner of the ‘Best African Act’ category at the 2018 MTV EMA. The awards which was held on Sunday night, November 4th at the Bizkaia Arena, Bilbao in Spain, saw the Nigerian singer become the first female artist to achieve this honour. She saw off competition ahead of the likes of Davido, Fally Ipupa (DRC), Nyashinnski (Kenya), Distruction Boyz(South Africa) and Shekinah (South Africa).
Tiwa Savage shared a photo on her Instagram page. She wrote:
“Almighty God, you ARE so faithful. My savage soldiers you did this for us. You’ve stuck with me through the roller coasters, THANK YOU
To my amazing team, this is just the beginning.
African Woman, this is for US
I’ve been through a lot but I’ve kept my head up and weathered the storm because I know some little girl somewhere is dreaming like I did.”
