Latest Hip Hop News: Snoop Dogg Partners With Cash App To Raise Money For Special Needs Kids
Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Cash App this year for #GivingTuesday, to raise some money for the benefit of special kids.
The rapper enlisted Cash App to help raise funds for his special needs football league, Snoop’s Special Stars to mark the unofficial holiday for charitable giving. He took to his Instagram page to announce the donation drive on Tuesday (December 3).
The #GivingTuesday promotion is limited as Cash App will only match donations until the end of the day on Tuesday (Yesterday). Donors are being encouraged to spread the word on social media by posting a screenshot of their transactions with the hashtag #IWannaThankMe, a nod to Snoop Dogg’s latest album.
Snoop Dogg’s Special Stars is unique non-profit athletic program based in the greater Los Angeles area.
According to HipHopDX, ‘The league, which is a division of Snoop Dogg’s popular youth football league, was created to provide opportunities for special needs kids ages five to 13 who are interested in football or cheerleading. Cash App has pledged to match each dollar (up to $200,000) donated to “$SnoopsSpecialStars” through their app.’
