The Nation We Seek Starts With Me And You – Banky W

Olubankole Wellington, popularly known Banky W, has dropped his Independence Day message to mark Nigeria’s 60th anniversary. While noting the country has a long way to go, the singer admitted that it ultimately rests with its citizens to play their part “in making this the kind of country we want to see.”

He wrote;

 “Patriotism is loyalty to your country all the time, and loyalty to your Government when it deserves it.” – Mark Twain.

We have a long way to go, but I’ll never give up. I’ll always try to play my part in making this the kind of country we want to see.

I hope we realize that the Nation we seek starts with me and you. I hope we learn to talk and do.
