According to XXL, Tyler Gregory Okonma popularly known as Tyler, The Creator, is celebrating the resignation of Theresa May after she banned him. At the time, in 2015, the rapper’s lyrics were believed to be the root cause. The United Kingdom’s political representative stated Tyler, The Creator’s lyrics “encourage violence and intolerance of homosexuality” and “foster hatred with views that seek to provoke others to terrorist act.” Theresa May announced her resignation on Friday after three years of trying and failing to pull Britain out of the European Union. The “911 / Mr. Lonely” rapper reacted to this. He stated, “Theresa gone, im back.”
Meanwhile, Tyler has released his new album, IGOR. He will be looking forward to a few tour dates in the U.K. His ban was set to span three to five years and it has since been lifted. However, his concert was cancelled due to overwhelming concern with regards to rowdy fans.
