There’s no doubt that popular Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard is one of the most popular and successful actors in the Nigerian movie industry. He is highly respected among his colleagues and fans both within and outside Nigeria. This type of reputation cannot be bought in the market. In fact, the Film lord, as he is fondly called, just disclosed via his Instagram page that it is not right to work so hard for many years and at the end, still remain the same person.

The award-winning actor is not only a thespian, but also a producer, influencer, and businessman. To be able to succeed inall these and at the same time requires hard work. Leonard is definitely very passionate about the arts and a firm believer in the growth of the African cinema.
Let usgive you a background information about Frederick Leonard. He was born in Anambra state, Nigeria and is the firstborn child of his parents. They consisted of two children and his father and mother – Yes, a family of four.
He did his primary school in St Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos state. Leonard then attended Oregun High School in Ikeja for his secondary education before going on to graduate with a degree in biochemistry at Kaduna Polytechnic.
Regarding his Nollywood career, Frederick Leonard started in 2001 when he featured in brief one scene roles. (Please, don’t call it waka-pass). However, the young actor took a break from acting almost immediately but this was for him to complete his university education. In 2008, he returned to the Nigerian movie industry and starred in his first lead role in “Indian Doctor”.
Thankfully, Leonard remained in Nollywood but went into TV soap opera series like “Disclosure”. He went on to star in “Grey” and the 2019 movie, “Void”.
Since then, he hasn’t looked back in his movie career and has even gotten married to the absolutely gorgeous Peggy Ovire.
So, as you can see, Frederick Leonard knows exactly what he is saying with the statement “You Don’t work so Hard for Many Years to Remain the Same person”.
However, it is important to note that not everyone can succeed early in their careers or achieve fame. Some blossom quite late but it is good to always stay positive and keep hope alive.
