Deborah Owusu-Bonsu professionally known as Sister Deborah, has publicly denounced the state of Labadi Beach – where she has been swimming since a girl of 3. The multi-talented star says when you go swimming now, you will come out with a used condom in your mouth or even plastic toothbrush on your head.

“Do you see the confetti floating at the shore? No. Yes because what you see is actually plastics. I use to swim at Labadi Beach since I was 3 years young and I don’t remember seeing so much borla in the ocean or any at all. Now if you try swimming there and you dive under a wave, you’ll come back out with used condom in your mouth or a plastic toothbrush on your head. You don’t even need to dive to feel the plastics sef, you will be maneuvering through the water while rubbers are tying around your ankles. I no wan talk chaw, plastics, especially polythene bags, dey kill we just like drugs. We for ban am like Rwanda and Kenya have. We for stop the use of single-use plastics (rubber bags) once and for all.”
