Mother Who Bleached Her Baby’s Skin To Convince Light Skin Boyfriend That Baby Is His
A 19-year old girl from Limpopo in South Africa has been arrested for bleaching her baby. It’s understood that Tinyiko Mkhesani is the mother who bleached her baby’s skin to convince light skin boyfriend that baby is his.
According to reports, Tinyiko Mkhesani from Tzaneen in Limpopo, was told by her boyfriend when she was pregnant, that he doesn’t trust her and that if the baby was a few shades darker, he was not the father. Whenever the woman’s light-skinned boyfriend was away from home working, he would request for the baby’s photo. Shockingly, the lady would then filter the baby’s pictures to appear lighter.
However, trouble started when the man said he was returning home. In desperation, the girl began to bleach the baby’s skin in a process which lasted four days. It’s understood that she used popular Movate to make the baby lighter. Unfortunately, the baby’s skin was too sensitive for the bleaching cream Movate and so it started peeling off.
Tinyiko’s mum forced her daughter to take the baby to the hospital where she was pressured into confessing how the baby’s skin ended up that way.
Tinyiko Mkhesani is now in custody while the baby is receiving treatment for bleaching wounds.
